Since the age of four, when Tony Redmond entertained the customers in his grandma’s café in St. James, Minnesota, his childhood dream was to see Elvis perform in person. Though this didn’t happen, Tony feels very fortunate that today he can play a small part in helping to keep the memory alive of this great music legend.
So, how good is Tony at impersonating The King of Rock ‘n Roll? His audiences often wonder if he’s lip-syncing, because he sounds so much like Elvis. Tony considers this a compliment but assures them that he’s really singing every song. In the beginning – from talent contests to the Minnesota State Fair Stage – to today’s impressive shows, performances have taken Tony to many towns and cities throughout several states, including Chicago, Detroit, Phoenix, Los Angeles, and Minneapolis/St. Paul. Also, as Sun Country Airlines’ Elvis contest winner, Tony appeared in Las Vegas.
